Parents Code of Conduct

 

  • Parents/Fans must (enjoy, observe, watch, cheer) from the opposite sideline/touchline as the teams and coaches.
  • NO SMOKING ALLOWED in the vicinity of any NLSA field or around any player.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are allowed on any soccer field, grounds, or parking lots before, during, or after any game. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the soccer grounds and could result in arrest.
  • Parents/Fans are not allowed to "coach" while the match is in progress. (This means standing on the sidelines shouting out commands to the players is NOT allowed)
  • Parents/Fans must cheer enthusiastically for ALL teams/children. Parents/Fans must respect the coach's decisions. (Any verbal and /or physical abuse on a coach will not be tolerated by NLSA. You will be asked to leave the premises immediately and a possibility of criminal charges may be filed)
  • Parents/Fans must respect ALL Referees. Do not contest their decisions. THE REFEREES DECISION IS FINAL! (Any verbal and /or physical abuse on a referee will not be tolerated by NLSA. You will be asked to leave the premises immediately and a possibility of criminal charges may be filed)
  • All vehicles must be parked in designated parking spaces.
  • Be good role models. DISPLAY GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. Often times the parents are more intense/competitive than the children.
  • No one is allowed near or beyond the goal line. This includes parents, kids, and other players. If any infractions are made against these conduct rules the following actions will be taken:
    • 1st Offense - verbal warning from the coach, referee, or NLSA board member.
    • 2nd Offense - Parent/fan will be asked to leave the soccer area completely and a written warning from the NLSA board.
    • 3rd Offense - meet with the NLSA board and child will not be allowed to play in the next game.
