This league is modeled after a Dutch youth soccer development program. The objective is to combine training and skills development with small sided, small field matches. Players will be divided into two groups based on age and experience. They will train each week for 40 to 50 minutes and then play a 30 to 40 minute match. Each team will play 4v4 or 5v5 on half the field with no goalkeepers. Scores will be kept and recorded with every player receiving points based on the number of goals scored by his or her team each week.
Players will rotate each week so every week teams will change. The size of each team will vary based on attendance but we will try to adjust the number of players to allow more playing time. All players should wear shin guards and bring a soccer ball (size 3) to each session.
